Clear, water-resistant shoe repair adhesive for leather, suede, rubber, fabric and canvas. Ideal for repairing and protecting heavily worn areas of footwear.
Eclectic Shoe Goo II is a clear specialty adhesive designed for shoe repairs and for protecting areas subject to heavy wear. It can be used to repair worn spots, fix damaged areas and help extend the life of your footwear.
The clear adhesive bonds to leather, suede, rubber, canvas and fabric. Once cured, it remains flexible and resists abrasion and water. Shoe Goo II is also UV-resistant and produces less odour during application than the original Shoe Goo.
Shoe Goo Original and Shoe Goo II have many features in common, but they differ in their formulation and suitability for certain materials.
Shoe Goo Original uses a solvent-based formula. Shoe Goo II, by contrast, uses solvent-free hybrid MS polymer technology and has a VOC content of less than 3%. This means Shoe Goo II has a formula with a significantly lower proportion of volatile organic compounds, which can be harmful to both human health and the environment.
There is also a difference in application: Shoe Goo II has a lower viscosity and is slower to form a skin. This gives you more time to work with the adhesive and makes it easier to spread. This is particularly useful when repairing larger or irregularly shaped areas on skate shoes or applying a protective coating.
The surfaces to be treated should be clean and dry. Apply the adhesive directly to the damaged or heavily worn area, following the instructions on the packaging. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to cure before subjecting the footwear to heavy use.
Shoe Goo II is not recommended for acrylic, vinyl, foam, polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). For applications on vinyl, the manufacturer recommends Original Shoe Goo. Test material compatibility on a small, inconspicuous area before use.
