Fingerboading all began in the early 1990s when the skate brand Vision Street Wear offered keyrings with small plastic skateboards on it. At that time they were imported by sacks contained hundred of keyrings to Switzerland. As they arrived in Switzerland, the small chain and the metal ring were removed from the plastic skateboard first with pliers. That's how the first fingerboard came to life. Meanwhile, there is every imaginable accessory for the little mini skateboard for fingers. The plastic boards were permanently developed. Today, a good fingerboard consists of a deck out of real wood, the trucks have soft bushings for better steering and the wheels are equipped with real bearings. For more fingerboard fun the corresponding elements from the skate park are an important essential. The fingerboard professionals use different rails, curbs and even real little marble benches to grind over or on them. With miniature wooden ramps you can assemble your own skatepark. Quarterpipes, Banks, Stairsets, Picnic tables and other ramps sweeten the life of a passionate fingerboarder. The fingerboard should not only be seen as a toy - over the years it has become a real sport!
